Being against homosexuality is not stupidity. It's all a matter of beliefs. I'm straight, and I don't support homosexuality, but I don't hate anybody who is involved with it.

Involved in it? It's not quite something to be involved in, it's a characteristic of a person.

Try and replace "homosexuality" with "black people." See how it rings. People would've said the same about black people, years ago, how it was their belief that they were inferior. Just food for thought :)

I just like to see it as love, and I love and accept everyone :aww:

I see what you're getting at, but it's not that simple. It's not that simple at all. lol I find this funny because I am black. :iconsonicderpplz:

I don't think it's a good analogy, comparing black people to homosexual people. I mean, we're all people, yes, but I just don't know. I'm a Christian, and in the Bible it clearly states that having relations with the same sex is wrong. It states nothing about skin color. Those people were twisting the Bible's words back in the day.

But ya know, this is such a difficult topic that could drag on and on for a while. I see where you are coming from, and if I weren't in the religion I'm happily involved in, I would probably feel the same way~

The bible was written by backwards people who stoned people they didn't like and tied people to crosses I wouldn't be trusting their words for a moral perspective on anything. My mother is a christian and she supports Homosexuality because unlike you she believes in a loving God who doesn't care about stupid crap like that. You are bad and you should feel bad.

I think you are a bit confused. I've been surrounded by great Christians all my life, I think I know what I'm talking about. Also, none of the people who helped create the Bible stoned or crucified people... God knew what He was doing when he had the Bible written.

Ugh, I don't want to offend people, but I don't want to lie either.
Homosexuality is really lustful in most cases. People should try to deviate from it. Give heterosexuality a chance.

Haha, I'm sorry. Nah, and I really do like just talking to people and hearing their opinions, I'm no person to get into an internet fight, I promise :aww:

Hmm... in the Bible it also states how to manage one's slaves, how to treat them, when it is appropriate to free them, etc... I mean, I guess the way I see it is that if we did everything the Bible stated, well, we're all already living in entirely different ways than it says.

You're right, it's a difficult topic, for sure. It's totally fine :)

Ah, slavery back in Bible times was completely different from the slavery you're thinking of, I believe. ^_^

No, no I know full well it's completely different. What I mean is exactly what you just said: "in bible times". It needs to be taken into context, as you acknowledged for slavery, so do its few statements regarding homosexuality. In bible times it was condemned, and in bible times women did not have the same roles or expectations they have today. Essentially, we can't live our lives based on a book written with values and in a society which is no longer applicable to the way we live today.
